Beyond the Blackboard
Beyond the Blackboard by Anyuri Jaén
Introduction
That we are
protagonists of a positive or negative moment that we can be better as people
by seeing beyond what may make us uncomfortable.
Beyond the blackboard is an excellent story.
Stacey Bess (born October 16, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah) is an American author and educator, known for authoring the memoir Nobody Don't Love Nobody, which was made into a Hallmark Hall of Fame film in 2011 called "Beyond the Blackboard".
Nobody Don't Love Nobody is the story of Bess's first teaching job, the only assignment she could find, at a school that worked with homeless children in a shelter. He was told it would be necessary to teach grades K-6, but instead teach grades K-12.
Bess has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Utah. She now works as a public speaker, defending the educational rights of impoverished children.
His service has been recognized with several awards, including the National Jefferson Award for Best Public Service Performed by Someone Age 35 or Younger.
Other awards include: Delta Kappa Gamma
Educator Award, Project Love Savior of Humanity, American Association of
University Women Distinguished Woman of the Year.
I like the optimism that the character of Stacy Bess showed me, she did not like her workplace at first impression, she was deceived, but she did not resign, her husband supported her, she looked for ways to provide what was right for her as an educator, He asserted the rights of children and their families, that it was in the interest of the educational program to provide what was necessary to teach classes.
It is important to have a focus, detect what
our students need, listen to them, I like that part where she apologizes for
the moment she loses control, we are human and we must learn to respect others,
that gesture to the children fills them with admiration and desire to learn.
We should not underestimate the people around us, sometimes the person we least expect can help us, like the man who made the drawings for the living room.
Beyond the education I can provide, it is being the person I identify with, helping those people who need it, be it support through my knowledge, with advice.
Teacher Stacy helped her students so much that
the separation was difficult, but they never forgot, being an educator is
leaving traces on children, I hope mine are positive.
